How Is FUE Hair Transplant Done?

First of all, a consultation is made with the candidates applying for the FUE technique. The purpose of this is both to better learn the patient's expectations and complaints and to confirm the patient's suitability for the procedure in a medical sense. The hair site of the patient is examined, and it is checked whether he has a medical history that may cause problems with the operation. If everything is in order, the patient is treated with hair transplantation.

    • During the FUE procedure, the surgeon shaves the area where the grafts will be taken. If there are hairs in the area to be transplanted, they are also shaved.
    • With the help of special medical instruments, the surgeon removes the hair follicles from the skin. The roots in the donor area are taken one by one. The surgeon makes minor incisions in the area to be transplanted and inserts the hair follicles into these incisions.
    • After the transplantation is completed, the relevant area is covered with a bandage. Thanks to the bandages, the treated site is prevented from being damaged by environmental effects. The duration of FUE hair transplantation varies between 4 and 8 hours.
