PRP hair application is applied in 3 to 5 sessions and is done within two weeks to 1 month. Sessions’ duration may vary depending on the type of hair problem. After the treatment, the results become evident, however, full recovery is observed after about 3 weeks. The results last for a long time but are not permanent. The doctor may want the procedure to be repeated every 3-6 months. This period may be longer. Factors such as nutrition and hair care are effective on the duration of the PRP effect. After the treatment, which helps restore hair growth, the patient may feel tenderness, swelling, mild pain, and a headache. These side effects are normal and will go away in time.
PRP treatment applied to eliminate the problem of hair loss is not a painful procedure. As a result of injecting the blood taken from the patient into the scalp, the patient may feel relative pain and this effect will soon go away.
PRP hair application age range is wide. From the age of 18, you can get PRP hair transplantation. There is no clarity on the upper age limit, but it is usually done up to the age of 70. The appropriate age range has been determined by calculating both physical fitness and treatment success rates.
PRP operation is not permanent. However, the effect of PRP can last for about 2 years. A reminder application is usually needed once a year.
